Answers to common questions about using UCS Academy. Everything described here reflects what the platform actually does today.
Account and sign-in
How do I create an account?
Go to Register and fill in your name, email address and a password of at least 12 characters. We send a verification link to your email, valid for 24 hours, but you can sign in and use your account immediately — verifying isn't required for anything today.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. If the email address is registered, we send a reset link. For your security, requesting a reset for an unregistered email looks identical from the outside — you won't be told whether an address exists.
My organisation invited me. How is that different from registering myself?
Corporate learners use the invitation link their organisation sends by email, not the public Register page. That link creates your account already linked to your organisation. A self-registered account only joins the public catalog; organisations invite members separately.
Courses and enrollment
How do I enroll in a course?
Browse the course catalog, open a course, and select Enroll. Courses enroll immediately at no cost. You'll need to be signed in.
How is my progress tracked?
Each lesson you complete is recorded against your enrollment. Your My learning dashboard shows your progress percentage and lets you resume where you left off. Quiz, assignment and SCORM lessons only count as complete once you actually pass or submit them — simply opening the lesson isn't enough.
Quizzes and practical assignments
How are quizzes graded?
Multiple-choice and true/false questions are graded automatically against a pass threshold set by the course. Short-answer and essay questions are graded by an instructor before your attempt is marked complete.
How are practical assignments graded?
You submit text, a file, or a link depending on what the assignment asks for. An instructor scores your submission against a published rubric and releases written feedback. You can see the rubric and your result once it's released.
